A Sad Week

From last Wednesday to this Thursday was pronounced sad week for me by a friend.
She told me to just sit in my sadness and not judge it, just be aware of it. 
I have been wearing black every day in celebration.
It is so nice to just let go of all judgements on feelings and let myself feel how I want to feel.
I have started reading the book The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran and it is beyond excellent. 
I decided it would be very appropriate to quote the section that is about pain.
I quoted the entire section because it is just so magnificent. 

"Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.

Weekend

I was going to do just a quote of the day to celebrate this weekend but I didn't feel like that was sufficient enough. 
This weekend was so amazing and I grew so so much,
so I thought I would just throw together a mass of quotes that I was given. 

I believe this first quote was said by Brené Brown in an article about Wholehearted Living:

"Courage originally meant 'to speak one's mind by telling all one's heart.' Over time, this definition has changed and, today, courage is more synonymous with being heroic."

This second quote is in the same article but is by Abraham Maslow:

"One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chose again and again. Fear must be overcome again and again."

And this last quote was given to me by a special friend, she didn't tell me who it's by but it's an awesome quote:

Can I have your number?

I was just looking through my pictures and found this little treasure.
It's a conversation I had with a guy I met while living in Atlanta Georgia last fall.
It reminded me strangely of a certain video.
On facebook, his middle name was "bigdaddy". 
Yeah.
What a fun guy.
And don't be fooled by when he said bye.
After I posted the video as a reference, he asked me again for my number. It just wouldn't fit in the screen shot.

Yes yes, he is my child cat and I have to say that he is adorable, but truly, he is the best.
I like to call him the Chuck Bass of cats.

Dan Domenech

So, it has been a couple days but I was just kind of tired of blogging.
But here is something aweeeeesome!
Do you remember that post I did that one time with the picture of me with that one guy? 
Yeah. 
Here's the picture again to refresh your memory in case you forgot.


The one who plays Aladdin, right there with his arm wrapped right around me. 
Well, his name is Dan Domenech and he is now on Glee! 
Hannah and I have been raving about how we are only one hand shake away from Chris Colfer now! 
HOLY CRAP! 
So yes, that is about all I have to say about this.
I am just so excited and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chris Colfer. 
Also, Dan Domenech isn't too bad either. 
Actually, to be honest, he is very attractive.
Especially when he is playing Aladdin. 
That's all!

Well, I forgot to do a quote yesterday.
But that means I will do an extra good one today!
Since it is my nephew's first Birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN!) I am going to do a birthday quote.
Well, kind of. It's about gifts, and people give you gifts on your birthday so it counts.
It's also extra appropriate since it's by a guy named Brian and my nephew's name is Brian. 
I hope my nephew knows I have unconditional love and acceptance for him. 
He probably doesn't because he is one, but one day, he will know!
